Voracious consumer of cookbooks, food lit and food blogs; reluctant first-time blogger, spurred by the loss of Gourmet. Enjoy my completely-unrelated-to-food day job enough to be a ferry commuter (even though it means more than four hours a day commuting and frequently missing out on fun things in Seattle because I live on the other side of the water). Love the life I live with my hilariously funny husband and completely insane Chesapeake Bay Retriever in a tiny little town somewhat close to Seattle.
